Meet Our Third Cohort
The 3rd Cohort of NoDe brings together a diverse group of grassroots organizations working across Nagaland and Assam, each addressing critical social and developmental challenges in their communities.
Gracious Life Foundation
Nagaland
A community-based organization established in 2022, GLF supports individuals affected by mental illness and psychosocial disabilities. Through its Community Mental Health Programme (CMHP), it provides psychiatric consultations, counselling, community outreach, and monthly health camps. Over 200 individuals have received mental health services, and more than 7,000 people reached through awareness activities.
Lightway Society
Nagaland
Established in 2002 and registered with the Government of Nagaland, Lightway Society uplifts marginalized communities with a focus on Injecting Drug Users (IDUs). Supported by NSACS and NACO, it implements Targeted Intervention (TI) projects across five strategic blocks, combining Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) with HIV/STI prevention, harm reduction, and psychosocial support.
Cherry Blossoms Society
Kohima
CBS promotes inclusion, equal opportunities, and improved quality of life for persons with disabilities (PwDs). Through Cherry Blossoms School and Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programmes, it delivers education, therapy, and skills development. Working closely with families and communities, CBS reduces stigma and strengthens inclusive practices.
Bharat Ingenuity Foundation
Dima Hasao
BIF improves lives in remote and underserved regions through sustainable, community-driven solutions. Registered in April 2024, it addresses social, economic, and environmental challenges through a collaborative approach โ co-designing practical solutions with local stakeholders on climate change, environmental conservation, and sustainable livelihoods.
Chingthur Foundation
Nagaland
A development organization committed to sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, and indigenous knowledge revival. Chingthur Foundation focuses on skills training, biodiversity conservation, indigenous craft revival, and village master planning. It collaborates with government agencies and development partners to promote climate-resilient practices and community-led self-reliance.
Amri Karbi Community Development Project
Assam
AKCDP empowers the Amri Karbi tribal communities while preserving their cultural identity. Working in education, health, livelihood development, cultural preservation, and environmental sustainability, it strengthens local governance and community participation. AKCDP collaborates with village institutions to improve living conditions and promote self-reliance.
Lakpanhu Welfare Society
Nagaland
Founded in November 2003, Lakpanhu Welfare Society supports marginalized communities facing social and economic challenges. It focuses on health care, gender equality, community development, employment generation, socio-economic empowerment, income-generating activities, and infrastructure development โ extending its support to all people in need regardless of caste, gender, or background.
Khankho Welfare Society
Dima Hasao
Beginning in 1991 with a small school for underserved children and formally registered in 2023, Khankho Welfare Society serves marginalized communities without discrimination. It focuses on education, health, livelihood promotion, cultural preservation, and environmental conservation โ supported through youth outreach, sanitation campaigns, and relief distribution activities.
