Northeast Organizational Development for Empowerment (NoDe) is an initiative that strengthens community-based and civil society organizations (CSOs) across Northeast India.

NoDe believes that strong local organizations lead to strong communities. We work with grassroots organizations to help them build leadership, improve systems and governance, strengthen their teams, and create a culture of collaboration and learning.

Through customized workshops, mentoring, peer learning, and on-site support, it helps organizations become more resilient and effective. We guide them in areas such as leadership development, HR systems, governance, financial management, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and communication.

It also supports organizations to tell their stories, document their work, and build visibility so that the voices and experiences from the Northeast reach a wider audience.

Our approach is not one-size-fits-all. We understand that each organization and community is different. NoDe’s support is therefore customized and participatory, built around the real needs and aspirations of the organizations we partner with.

By connecting people, knowledge, and resources, NoDe is building a growing ecosystem of capable, confident, and collaborative civil society organizations that can lead change from within the region.

In short, NoDe is a learning and empowerment journey where organizations from across the Northeast come together to grow stronger, share experiences, and shape a more equitable and self-reliant future for their communities.
