I love slow travelling, trekking the Himalayas, listening to different genres of music, contemplating, reading fiction and bird watching.

I enjoy exploring, communicating, and constantly learning and unlearning. Currently, I work in the development sector, engaging closely with grassroots communities. This role has brought a range of experiences, helping me grow both personally and professionally in a field I truly care about.

I have been Associated with SeSTA since its inception in 2011 as lead Accounts and finance unit of SeSTA. Earlier I was also associated with PRADAN in Bongaigaon District of Assam. I have undergone different training on finance,accounts and compliances along with group processes and leadership development programmes.

Hi, I’m Niharika, a Trainer (Organisational Development) with SeSTA through the NoDe ecosystem. I work on strengthening internal systems and supporting community-based organisations across the North-East. I’m passionate about gender justice, rural development, and amplifying marginalised voices. I love street animals, enjoy swimming and travelling, and believe in building strong communities of women.

Hi, I’m currently a trainee under the NoDe program, where I’m learning the foundations of organizational development and how to drive meaningful change within communities. I care deeply about building a better future for children in underprivileged areas and believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a supportive environment. I’m also strongly committed to mental health advocacy and working toward systems that prioritize emotional well-being and dignity for all.

I am a researcher working at SeSTA in the areas of development. I have been engaged critically in grounded research for the past eight years. I work with socially transformative methodologies to understand communities as well as to critically think about questions of methodology and reflective process of engagement in research. I have been critically involved with the question of ensuring rights and entitlements of workers of various indigenous and Dalit communities originating in Central and Western India who migrate in the unorganised sector across the state of Gujarat.

Preetisha Singha

I am Preetisha, and I am from Guwahati. I did my graduation in Economics and completed my post-graduation in Social work. Sustainable livelihood intervention has always been my area of interest, and as such, starting my career as a development professional in SeSTA has been a boost in that direction. The work culture here encourages one’s innovative self and has been a significant factor that drives me to work with excitement and to learn and unlearn at various levels.

I am a Visual Artist and Former Photojournalist by choice and a creative filmmaker by passion, my lense thrives to reinterpret the candidness of the stirring presence of every existing identity, through both real and surreal ways. My visual venture is based on a diverse range of subjects to frame the object hood in an aesthetic way. Right from portraits conveying grey moods to the socio political humour and satire, I am keenly passionate about capturing the mysterious play of light and shades.
