Meet Our First Cohort

Under NoDe, our first cohort brings together 13 diverse CSOs, each contributing unique expertise and perspectives. From transforming livelihoods and addressing climate challenges to amplifying women’s voices and strengthening local governance and child-focused initiatives, these organisations are at the forefront of change in Northeast India.

Together, they form the heart of NoDe’s mission- a collaborative community driving meaningful, sustainable impact across the region. Through shared learning, capacity-building, and tailored support, this cohort exemplifies the power of organisations working collectively to create lasting social change.

Ajagar Social Circle

Ajagar Social Circle (ASC) is a grassroots organization working in Assam’s remote districts to support vulnerable communities. Its key focus areas include livelihoods, education, health and nutrition, WASH, skill development, and relief work. Through these interventions, ASC aims to build resilient, inclusive, and self-reliant communities.

AMAN Foundation

AMAN Foundation is a grassroots nonprofit based in Barpeta, Assam, working with marginalized communities in flood-prone char areas. Its key focus areas include education, youth leadership, sustainable livelihoods, and disaster relief. Through initiatives like the AMAN Education Program and AMAN Fellowship, the organization empowers children and youth while building community resilience

Altruism Society Honour Assistance (ASHA)

ASHA is a grassroots NGO based in Kokrajhar, Assam, dedicated to empowering marginalized children, women, and communities. It works across education, livelihoods, health, WASH, and child protection, with a strong focus on community-led development and support for distressed individuals.

Bethel Life Care Charitable Trust (BLCCT)

Bethel Life Care Charitable Trust (BLCCT) is a nonprofit organization based in Northeast India, dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth. Its core areas of work include vocational training, digital literacy, and nursing education, aimed at promoting sustainable livelihoods and reducing the rural-urban skill gap

Diya Foundation

Diya Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Meghalaya, working to empower marginalized communities through livelihood enhancement, health, education, and institution building. It focuses on building local capacities to foster self-sustainable and inclusive development.

MOSONiE Socio-Economic Foundation

MOSONiE Socio-Economic Foundation is a nonprofit based in Meghalaya, founded in 2016 by young women to support marginalized communities in Northeast India. The organization focuses on sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, women’s empowerment, and healthcare. Key initiatives include solar-powered spinning machines, black pepper cultivation, distributing reusable sanitary pads, and planting fruit trees to build resilient communities.

People's Endeavour for Social Changes

PESCH is a grassroots NGO based in Tamenglong, Manipur, working to empower marginalized communities through agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, and natural resource management. Active across Manipur and Assam, PESCH promotes sustainable livelihoods and has supported over 7,000 families in 57 villages.

Rural Aid Service (RAS)

Rural Aid Service (RAS) is a nonprofit based in Churachandpur, Manipur, working to build self-reliant and dignified communities. Its core focus areas include sustainable agriculture, livestock management, skill development, and access to social service populations.

Rongmei Baptist Association (RBA)

The Rongmei Baptist Association (RBA), established in 1988 in Jalukie, Nagaland, is a Christian organization committed to uplifting rural communities through moral, spiritual, and social development. Now known as the Rongmei Baptist Churches Council (RBCC), it continues to serve diverse communities across Northeast India with a focus on inclusive and values-driven service.

Realm of Nature Based Action

RNBA is a grassroots nonprofit founded in 1985, working across Northeast India to promote inclusive rural development. Active in over 350 villages, RNBA focuses on natural resource management, sustainable livelihoods, land rights, education, and organizational development, with strong emphasis on gender equality, tribal empowerment, and peacebuilding

Sanjog

Sanjog is a grassroots nonprofit in Assam, empowering rural communities through sustainable livelihoods and climate-resilient practices. Since 2014, it has reached over 4,000 people with initiatives like women-led mushroom cultivation, climate-smart farming (AWD), and solar-powered livelihood tools for persons with disabilities

Sanatan Unnayan Sangstha (SUS)

Sanatan Unnayan Sangstha (SUS) is a grassroots NGO based in Cachar, Assam, founded in 2007. It works to uplift marginalized communities through initiatives in education, health, livelihoods, women’s empowerment, disaster relief, and rural development. With a focus on dignity and inclusion, SUS operates across the Barak Valley, supporting vulnerable populations through sustainable, community-based solutions.

People’s Resource Development Association (PRDA)

PRDA (People’s Resource Development Association) is a grassroots NGO based in Manipur, founded in 1988. It supports rural and flood-affected communities through disaster relief, health, education, sustainable livelihoods, and peace-building. PRDA works closely with youth, women, farmers, and community groups to promote leadership, social inclusion, and long-term development. Its efforts focus on creating resilient, self-reliant communities across districts like Bishnupur and Imphal
